Set up your AI assistant

The shot-plan checks are not yet available to customers. Today only the site owner can use them. To see what this connection can use now, ask your assistant to run shoot_plan_capabilities.

Use the Streamable HTTP address https://theamateur.co.uk/mcp/shoot-plan. Ask the assistant to run shoot_plan_capabilities first.

Claude

In Claude, look for Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then enter the server address. To use your saved plans, sign in and get your private connection link from Account → AI assistant.

We have not tested these steps in the current Claude app. Menu names and availability can differ by account.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, look for the option to add a custom MCP app in developer mode and enter the server address. Start by asking it to run shoot_plan_capabilities, which needs no account.

We have not tested these steps, or private connection links, in the current ChatGPT app. Your plan or workspace may not offer custom MCP apps.

Other MCP clients

Choose Streamable HTTP and enter the server address. For protected tools, send your Shoot Plan agent key as an Authorization bearer header. Keep keys and private connection links private; revoke them from your account if shared.

Settings-file formats differ between clients. Follow your client's own instructions.

In a browser

WebMCP lets a supported browser offer the same tools to an AI agent running in your own browser. The agent then acts with your signed-in session, so it can do what you can do in your account; only use agents you trust. WebMCP is a draft from the W3C Web Machine Learning Community Group and, as of October 2026, runs only in a Chrome origin trial. It is not switched on for customers yet.

What to expect

The connector can't buy a plan. Ask your assistant to run shoot_plan_capabilities to see current access and whether you can buy a plan through the connector.
